Football hero makes Speedy appearance to open new Inverness Superstore

Celtic football legend John Hartson is set to gain his first Speedy cap as he heads to Inverness for the official launch of Speedy’s brand new Superstore.

Visitors will be welcomed by former striker, John Hartson, as the superstore, which stocks in excess of £1.2m of equipment ready for hire, celebrates opening its doors in Inverness on Thursday 13th September.

The day will be packed full of equipment demonstrations and tours of its new training academy  as Inverness attendees receive exclusive access to Speedy’s core range of tools and equipment including power, pumps, compressors, fencing and survey, bringing Speedy’s primary product sectors under one roof.

John Hartson will make his return to Scotland following a five season spell for Celtic in the Scottish Premier League between 2001 and 2006.  As well as the opportunity to meet and greet the former striker turned Wales coach, the first 50 customers will receive a free pair of boots. There will be detailed product and service demonstrations from certified experts throughout the day, a complimentary lunch and the opportunity to compete in a darts competition following the company’s successful sponsorship of the UK Open.

Area manager, John Irvine, said: “We are delighted to have John join us for the opening of the new store. We are honoured that such a recognisable name will be at the open day to help us celebrate the expanding presence of Speedy.”
