Summary

Speedy are currently recruiting for an Area Services Relief Manager to compliment its existing management structure. In the absence of the depot manager the Area Services Relief Manager will effectively manage all aspects of the Depot, proactively leading the team and incorporating Speedy values into every activity. 

Main Responsibilities
  • To always maintain exemplary standards of operation and aesthetic appearance
  • Maintaining  depot  performance against all agreed targets/budgets and managing all costs within
  • Ensuring that all aspects of work and process are carried out in-line with Health and Safety guidelines
  • Involved in  supervising stock takes and acting as custodian of all assets across the depot
  • Responsible for overseeing purchasing of all depot equipment, tools and general orders
  • Effective co-ordination of the whole site including the most efficient use of transport resources
  • Coach and provide feedback to depot employees
  • Ensuring effective communication across depot employees
  • Ensuring that the quality of customer care/service and products provided reflect the highest levels of excellence to which Speedy is committed
  • Prompt completion of relevant reports, e.g. weekly figure, cash summaries, credit query reports, stock takes, employee attendance, etc.
  • Multi tasking, able to cover other depot roles. Ensuring that the depot is consistently presented to a high level to promote a professional image to the customer, including wearing of Speedy uniform by all depot employees and that vehicles and hire fleet are presented to customers in accordance with Company standards
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge across the Depot of the Company’s equipment for hire/ sale and the ability to demonstrate the safe use of equipment
  • Overseeing the accuracy and completeness of all paperwork and ensuring that the procedure for contracts, purchase orders, stock transfers, etc. is followed correctly, e.g. all on-hires and all off-hires signed to minimise credit queries, daily vehicle logs completed by Drivers, etc.
  • Upon completion of the assignment , ensure a review and a comprehensive handover takes place with the returning depot manager and a full de-brief report is provided to the Area Services Director
  • Conduct additional ad hoc duties as may be required

  • PC literate with experience of Axapta, On-Guard and Microsoft Office

  • Full driving licence

Desirable :
