Business Development Manager - Training Services

Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Business Development Manager whose responsiblity will lie in selling Speedy's training courses and consultancy services to new and existing clients. You will generate and develop leads, working with Account Managers to progress prospects through face to face meetings, requiring exceptional communication skills and the flexibility to adapt to a range of organisations. Organised and target driven, you wil enjoy a high level of autonomy, allowing you to plan your time effectively.

Main Responsibilities
  • Generating and developing leads through relationship building and expansion of contacts in order to sell Speedy training & consultancy services involving team work with Account Managers
  • Support Client Proposals by carrying out a detailed Training Needs Analysis (TNA) providing detailed reports on clients and their requirements from client interaction history
  • Contribute in the production of proposals and tenders.
  • Use Sales Force CRM to manage and record the sales process – end to end
  • Develop structured account plans
  • Keep existing clients and new prospects informed about marketing events
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in construction/ engineering/ facilities management health and safety training or product knowledge of the above training programmes would be an extreme advantage
  • You will have a strong corporate sales background and have a demonstrable track record in meeting business development targets, preferably for a service-based business.
  • You will be highly motivated with a talent for understanding client training needs and suggesting applicable solutions
  • Experience of Sales Force CRM advantageous however training will be provided
  • This role will provide a level of autonomy not offered by larger organisations and so would suit someone with entrepreneurial spirit who is able to manage their time well and is highly motivated to exceed targets
  • You must have exceptional communication and presentation skills, being able to build rapport at all levels in a variety of organisations
  • The role includes a great deal of travel; willingness to travel and overnight stays essential
  • Successful candidates will be provided with a detailed 3 day induction to help them understand the Speedy spirit.
