Lifting Services Engineer

Summary

We are currently recruiting a Lifting Service Engineer. The function of this role will be to assist the Team Leader and Regional Manager in the introduction and maintenance of a new workshop and all supporting management systems and procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the completion of all documentation as required for workshop goods in/out , quarantine, transfer, dispatch and engineers job tasks.
  2. Undertake Test, Repair, Inspection and Maintenance on a range of lifting accessories and equipment both onshore and offshore to meet our contractual and commercial obligations when the need arises.
  3. Support the development of the business into new growth markets including facilities management, HVAC, utilities, renewables, support services and on/off-shore activities.
  4. Ensure all safe systems of work are employed for workshop based tasks and when on site to ensure high standards of health & safety in the workplace are maintained.
  5. Ensure all workshop stock levels are maintained.
  6.  Assist the Team Leader in the Issue of quotations, estimates, proposals, costs and approve purchases orders when necessary.
  7. Issue of time sheets, holiday requests and absenteeism forms on time. 
  8. Undertake any training deemed necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations and as part of the personal development plan.
  9. Strive to ensure that “Customer First Always” is achieved.
Ideal Candidate
  1. Broad knowledge and experience of lifting equipment and associated accessories.
  2. Must have good knowledge and experience with mechanical/electrical fault finding and repair of lifting equipment. 
  3. Crane, forklifts, lifts, escalators, mobile plant, bulk handling experience would be a distinct advantage.
  4. Planning & coordinating skills advantageous.
  5. Organised and efficient.
  6. Flexible approach to work requirements.
  7. Setting high standards and producing a quality product, taking pride in the work delivered.
  8. Experience within the industry and advantage but not essential.
  9. LEAA qualified or working towards qualifications.
  10. Understanding and applying manufacturer’s technical data, including a broad knowledge of LOLER and PUWER.
  11. Full driving licence.
  12. 12.  Computer literate.
