Summary

Based in our Tamworth depot as an Apprentice Engineer with Speedy, you will be a key part of the depot operations.  You will be a key player in keeping the workshop productive meaning equipment is always available for our customers to ensure their experience with us is always positive and we continue to be the best hire company in the industry.

Main Responsibilities

As an Apprentice Engineer at Speedy you will take part in our four year Engineer Training Programme.  Throughout this programme you will spend time being trained by our knowledgeable and experienced colleagues along with working with our specialist external provider.

Programme Overview:

Year 1/2: Level 2 Diploma and Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance blended and on the job learning.

Year 3: Level 3 Diploma and Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance blended and on the job learning.

Year 4: Based in Paignton full time perfecting and practicing your skills ready to be signed off as a fully qualified Engineer.

Our Engineering Development Programme will not only develop your technical skills and abilities but also offer you the opportunity to develop the skills needed to become a well-rounded individual in order to progress your career in line with your own aspirations.

Please note thatyou must hold a Level 1 equivalent or GCSE Grade 2/Grade Eor above in English and Maths in order to be considered for this apprenticeship.

If you are successful in obtaining this role, in order to complete the L3 qualification you will have to complete L2 Functional Skills in English and Maths. If you can provide evidence of GCSE Maths and English qualifications at Grade C/4 or above you will be exempt from needing to completethese qualifications If you do need to complete the Functional Skills qualifications, our external provider will work with you in order to achieve this.
