Based in Newport (NP20 2WF) as an Apprentice Engineer, you will be an important part of depot operations and a key player in keeping the workshop productive meaning equipment is always available for our customers to ensure their experience with us is positive and we continue to be the best hire company in the industry.

You will take part in our structured four year training programme.  During this time you will be trained by our knowledgeable and experienced colleagues along with attending block placements with our college provider.

Programme Overview:

Year 1/2:

• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Construction Plant Maintenance or Machinery Maintenance
• Level 2 Diploma in Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance

Year 3/4:

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance
• Level 3 Diploma in Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance
• Essential Skills Wales Communication Level 2 (if required)
• Essential Skills Wales Application of Number Level 2 (if required)

When you are not in college completing your formal qualifications, you will be based in the depot full time learning from our experienced engineers and practicing your skills ready to be signed off as a fully qualified engineer at the end of Year 4.

• Show good communication skills

**Please note that you must hold a Level 1 equivalent or GCSE Grade E or above in English and Mathematics in order to be considered for this apprenticeship.**

If you are successful in obtaining this role, in order to complete the L3 qualification, you will have to complete L2 Essential Skills in Communication and Application of Number. If you can provide evidence of GCSE Mathematics and English qualifications at Grade A* - C you will be exempt from needing to complete these qualifications.  If you do need to complete them, our college provider will work with you in order to achieve this.

This role will be a September 2022 start.
