Main Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Speedy Power for a Engineer, to carry out the service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of hire equipment that is on hire and customer equipment that is on their own site. To deliver the service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of hire and customer equipment in the agreed timescale. 

As a Power engineer you will be expected Carry out the Service and maintenance and/or repair to hire fleet equipment as detailed by the Service Manager and Accurately record all work on the job card or Maintenance Report. An engineer in the power division will be Ensuring all work carried out to a very high standard and that all work undertaken is safe and in line with Speedy policies including health and safety. As the power engineer you will be Assisting with the training of new Service Engineers if requested to do so and also Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair requirements of the company’s product range.

Ideal Candidate

·       Experience of maintenance & repair of Power Equipment (Pumps, Generators, Compressors)

·       A good knowledge of diesel engines

·       Organisational and communication skills

·       High level of integrity

·       Ability to work effectively under pressure

·       Ability to prioritise workload

·       Capable of taking ownership and responsibility

·       Team Player

·       A willingness to work outside normal working hours when required

·      Full driving licence
