Lloyds British are looking for a passionate individual to join our busy team as a Engineering Support Manager .

As a Engineering Support Manager  you will be assisting the day to day management in our branches, this presents a fantastic opportunities for you to progress in the business. With realistic expectations for the future, you can see yourself as Branch Manager or perhaps in field sales or other operational roles that may satisfy your career ambitions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day to day management of our major contract to ensure that inspections and repairs are completed in line with the agreed framework
  • Support the implant at Ollerton who will be responsible for managing and coordinating all lifting hire enquiries, Lloyds British inspections, lifting equipment sales, and repairs
  • Attend weekly meetings with the customer to review defects issued and proposals to close out non compliant items (failed assets that need to be scrapped or repaired)
  • Complete any plant and lifting equipment inspections at Ollerton
  • Carry out any repairs for lifting equipment and accessories at the Ollerton site
  • Drive continuous innovation to improve customer compliance and the day to day running of the contract
  • Support the Speedy Implant team in producing both weekly and monthly reports in line with the customer requirements
Ideal Candidate
  • Have good communication skills and experience of working within a customer site
  • Experience working in the lifting equipment industry
  • Experienced working within a testing environment 
  • Experience of using heavy lifting gear or with a strong mechanical engineering background
  • Competent in the inspection of lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER and PUWER.
  •  LEEA Qualification/s desirable
  • Customer focused, able to demonstrate the ability to understand customer needs and can get things done.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise work load and work under pressure to strict deadlines
  • Capability to take ownership and responsibility
  • Ability to adapt to individual and operational change in a diverse and fast-paced organisation
  • PC literate
