Lloyds British are looking for a passionate individual to join our busy team as an Engineering Support Manager .
As a Engineering Support Manager you will be assisting the day to day management in our branches, this presents a fantastic opportunities for you to progress in the business. Maximising the branch’s revenue opportunities, ensuring team work is driven to maximise our opportunities.
Support sales/marketing by visits to customers and offer technical advice to promote Lloyds British
Undertake site visits, surveys, thorough inspections, repair, and test, maintain and service a wide variety of overhead cranes and lifting equipment and associated equipment both on and off site.
Undertaking of written risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work, maintenance procedures for all site work on a daily bases, completion of work tasks and reporting of accidents/incidents
Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance
Ensure all safe systems of work are employed for service engineers and that high standards of health and safety in the workplace are maintained
Assist in the recruitment, training and personal development process of all regional service engineers to meet the business existing and future needs
Supervise the completion of all documentation as required for job tasks by service team members
Dealing with customer enquiries and orders in a professional manner
Demonstrate use of company equipment where required
Supporting the Branch Manager and managing branch when unavailable
Accurate completion of all paperwork and IT inputs
Assisting the Branch Manager to promote employee motivation and development
Conducting additional ad hoc duties as required by Branch Manger
Driving operational effectiveness/efficiency through the use of operational dashboard; understanding the application of the key business metrics
- Have good communication skills and experience of working within a customer site

Experience working in the overhead crane industry

Experienced working within a crane maintenance environment

Experience of maintaining overhead cranes or with a strong mechanical engineering background

Must have experience in overhead electric travelling cranes
- Competent in the inspection of lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER and PUWER.
- LEEA Qualification/s desirable
- Customer focused, able to demonstrate the ability to understand customer needs and can get things done.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise work load and work under pressure to strict deadlines
- Capability to take ownership and responsibility
- Ability to adapt to individual and operational change in a diverse and fast-paced organisation
- PC literate
