Foreman - Tamworth - Monday to Friday - 45 hours per week.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Foreman to oversee the service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of hire and customer equipment to the required safety levels and within the agreed timescales.

On a day to day basis, you will supervise a team of service engineers to ensure stock is in place, provide technical assistance and organise technical training for the team.

• Manage yard operatives, ensuring training, holidays and absences are kept up to date
• Ensure Booking in of off hires are completed to a high standard
• Capture damages through the booking in process creating additional revenue for the depot
• Ensure safe working practice in the yard
• Manage Vehicles in and out to keep the yard and personal working in it as safe as possible
• Loading and unloading of vehicles
• Look at proactive ways to store equipment to utilise yard space safely
• Responsible for communication of stock levels and point of contact for the hire desk staff
• Report any near missed to improve safe working in the yard.

What you’ll need:

• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Excellent communication  and organisational skills
• Previous experience of supervising a team ideally within a similar industry
• Knowledge and experience of managing asset and stock counts
