We are looking to recruit a Fuel Category Graduate to provide commercial support and guidance to enable profitable and sustainable business growth for Speedy's successful fuel category. The successful candidate will work with the Head Of Fuel to support regional sales and operations teams to sell Speedy’s fuel solution and low carbon diesel alternative.

What do we look for?

This is an new and exciting graduate role and some of the day-to-day key responsibilities will consist of:

  • Working alongside the sales and operational teams to deliver revenue and profit growth
  • Undertaking competitor price benchmarking analysis of current deals and potential opportunities
  • Supporting the bids and tenders process to ensure commercial tenders are completed within the required deadlines
  • Supporting the fuel desk with customer queries, technical support and commercial decisions
  • Supporting the development and implementation of pricing strategies to maximise margin
  • Providing competitor market information to highlight potential threats and development opportunities
  • Aligning with key suppliers to provide stronger solutions and broader product offer.
  • Providing technical support with HVO fuels

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have financial/business studies/STEM related degree
  • Have developing financial and commercial acumen
  • Show excellent IT skills including use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Have Microsoft Excel skills with ability to work with large data sets and produce financial models
  • Are self-assured, reliable and able to demonstrate good/developing influencing and negotiation skills
  • Can present to medium sized groups of multi-level audiences
  • Show ability to express complex issues, both orally and in writing, in an easily understood manner for a range of audiences
  • Are hard working and reliable

Please note, this role is a September 2021 start.

As well as completing your day-to-day role within the fuel category you will also be part of the Speedy two year Specialist Graduate Development Programme.
