Main Responsibilities

As the IT Service Desk is the first point of contact for all IT related matters and support, the main responsibility of this role will be answering the telephone to customers and dealing with any issues they log via e-mail.  All telephone calls and e-mails must be dealt with in a professional manner and to the agreed service levels.  Each call must be logged accurately with sufficient information.  You will also need to take ownership of the call to ensure customer satisfaction and escalate any issues where necessary.  You will ensure that you communicate effectively and professionally with Speedy colleagues and customers, along with external support teams.

Hours of work will be 8 hours per day working off a departmental rota.  One day per week will be spent at college.  This apprenticeship is a L3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals.  The qualification you will be working towards is a BTEC L3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals.
