Main Responsibilities

A successful Crane Engineer would be competent and carry out inspection, adjustment and maintenance of mechanical and electrical aspects of lifting and handling equipment. Also Have the ability to compile a comprehensive report and to discuss with the customer any aspects, which should be bought to his attention. An experienced Crane Engineer Be aware of and able to discuss with the customer all aspects/product groups of Lloyds British Testing. A qualified Crane Engineer should have the ability to carry out faultfinding procedures, recognise the defective items and carry out the necessary repairs effectively and restore the equipment to a safe working condition. You should be competent and have the appropriate skills to carry out effectively and to company standards, major installations and repairs, conversions, load testing and inspection, have the capability when designated to organise, progress and carryout major installations, repairs, load testing and inspection to company procedures and standard. Also Have the knowledge and experience to identify the standards required for lifting and handling equipment including health and safety requirements. A Lloyds British Crane engineer should be able to maintain and project the company’s image and standards including the requirements of the health and safety legislation.

  3. Ensure that all aspects of legislation are adhered to and quality standards are adhered to and applied to all work activities.
  4. Ensure all company systems and procedures relating to site operations are followed and complied with.
  5. Ensure the company is represented in a professional way at all times, particularly when in contact with the customer.
  6. Supervise and organised designated jobs as defined/delegated by the supervisor.
  7. Be the company’s frontline ambassador.
