Main Responsibilities

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and ambitious Litigation Paralegal to join a market leading hire company, based in Haydock. 

The purpose of the role is to join our Legal team and work closely with the Credit Control function to deal with defended & undefended debt recovery matters and supporting  the Litigation Manager /Solicitor in all legal & insolvency proceedings once credit control methods have been exhausted. As a Litigation Paralegal you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload including court proceedings, negotiating with defendants as well as obtaining and enforcing county court judgement.

Applicants should have a first-class academic record and have completed the LPC. Previous litigation experience would be extremely advantageous so that the role-holder can hit the ground running.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Behaviours

Essential

•             Working knowledge of debt recovery, litigation and insolvency processes.

•             Experience of small claims case load up to and including small claims trials.

•             Outstanding communication skills.

•             Exceptional customer service skills.

•             Ability to work autonomously whilst motivating, supporting and sharing knowledge with others.

•             Ability to communicate well with customers both internal and external resolving complex matters

•             Strong administration skills.

•             Legal Qualification including CILEX qualification or working towards.

Desirable

•             Detailed knowledge of Insolvency procedure

•             Knowledge of following computer systems:

•             Liberate, AX, Onguard

•             Microsoft office
