Summary

As a National Account Manager you will look after National Accounts in the North East, North of England and the North West regions and you will be responsible for developing end-to-end solutions for National Account clients, predominantly in the Construction, Infrastructure and Industrial markets.

Main Responsibilities

As a National Account Manager for Speedy you will be responsible for looking after a portfolio of high profile accounts predominantly in the Construction, Infrastructure and Industrial markets. In this role you will be responsible for developing long term sustainable and profitable sales across the national accounts.  

As a National Account Manager you should be able to implement strategies to increase sales and profit margin, develop National Account Plans in line with business objectives and oversee pricing strategy for all bids. You will be measured on revenue growth, your ability to manage client debt within the agreed terms and the development and update of Key Account Plans.

As a National Account Manager you will build strong relationships and build good rapport with the people that you support, ensuring that we meet and exceed their expectations. You will work closely with the relevant departments within Speedy to identify new opportunities and assist in responding to enquiries/proposals. You will work alongside the wider business area to ensure that our customers are receiving the highest level of customer service and that the products provided reflect the highest levels of excellence that makes Speedy the best and the safest hire company to do business with.  

Please note that this is a National role and you will need to have a flexible approach to travel. This role will cover customers in the North East, North of England and North West.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track of implementing and executing growth plans for a portfolio of accounts
  • Managing a portfolio of key accounts with a value in excess of £3-4m pa
  • Commercially aware
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop strong customer relationships
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written
  • Good planning and preparation skills
  • High level of integrity and trust
