Summary

A great opportunity has arisen for a Powered Access Engineer to join our team, working at Platform Sales based in Tamworth which is a new addition to the Speedy Company. You will be responsible for the service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of our powered access equipment. You will ensure that our customers are using safe and reliable equipment and that they can count on us to deliver customer excellence.

Platform Sales and Hire Ltd is a welcomed addition to the Speedy Brand providing a comprehensive sales and hire service, providing platform lifts, MEWPs and training to a range of industries in the UK - whatever your access requirement, we have the solution.

Main Responsibilities

As a Powered Access Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that our customers can rely on us to provide them with safe and reliable access equipment so they can successfully deliver their projects. You will ensure that our equipment is performing to its full capabilities, that all equipment is tested, repaired and serviced to a high standard. . .

For this role we are ideally looking for engineers that have previous experience in working on powered access equipment such as Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie and JLG.

The Powered Access Engineer position plays a vital part in ensuring Speedy/Platform Sales and our powered access equipment are providing industry excellence, in return you will thrive in a welcoming atmosphere where team work plays a huge part. Ideal Candidate

To be a successful Powered Access Engineer you will need to possess the below key skills: 

  • Ideally be CAP registered
  • Experience in estimating repairs to be carried out with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience in fault finding and diagnostics
  • Able to read electrical / hydraulic drawings, understanding both systems
  • Previous engineering experience within powered access
