We have an exciting new position within our Supply Chain team in Haydock for a Supply Chain Manager.

Our Supply Chain Design Managers work closely with our Key Account Managers to develop our strategic partnerships through a structured process. They apply their in-depth supply chain and logistics knowledge to the analysis of the supply chains of our customers – identifying areas for improvement; making things faster, cheaper, more secure, more sustainable etc - collaborating with customer and Speedy subject matter experts to bring the best solutions to the table.

  • Develop and implement a category strategy to best deliver value to Speedy
  • Implement supply chain efficiencies following value chain analysis
  • Consider the introduction of new products / services wthin Indirect Categories
  • Negotiation of costs
  • Trading agreement formulation of key terms, including ability to challenge and negotiate
  • Design continuous improvement targets with strategic and preferred suppliers
  • Contract management of KPIs and SLA throughout the contract term
  • Supply Chain rationalisation & sourcing
  • Ensuring the purchasing IT system is reflective of the deals in place.
  • Support the ERP and procurement system generally in order to contribute to the company’s process efficiency
  • Tender preparation, working closely with key stakeholders, Response analysis, scoring and supplier selection
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance
  • Active contract management with continuous improvement
  • Compilation and submission of monthly reports
  • Work toward continuous improvement of procedures and processes.
  • Effective communication with team and operational network
  • Scope:  Responsibility will be to Team and entire Operational network

What you’ll need:

  • Have a strategic approach within Supply Chain Management
  • The ability to work in a very busy environment
  • Must be able to prioritse workload
  • Be accurate and precise with their work
  • Team player who can communicate at different  levels.
  • Excellent negotiation skills

Desirable

  • MCIPS Qualified or working towards
