The Bid Co-ordinator is responsible for supporting the Bid Team in producing bid and proposal documentation, including introduction and implementation of all necessary document version control procedures and processes. The Bid Co-ordinator will ensure all work presented is in line with the business Velocity Strategy to create a compelling case for successful contract award.

Key Accountabilities-

  • Day-to-day scanning of opportunities using portals and other directories
  • Co-ordinating proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, finance, commercial and legal.
  • Updating and managing bid support library that is a searchable reference source that can be used to support future bids.
  • Managing and tracking tenders, bids and other work ensuring all submissions meet deadlines and are to the required standard.
  • Completing supplier questionnaires and managing external accreditations e.g. Achilles & CHAS
  • Producing and delivering compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes.
  • Always work as part of a complete team, actively encourage teamwork within the Bid Team and the wider business.
  • Ensuring the quality of customer service and products provided, reflect the highest standards set by Speedy.
  • Always demonstrate the business values and behaviours
  • Ensure the GDPR policy is always followed.
  • Ensuring all aspects of work and processes are carried out in line with health and safety guidelines.
  • Conducting additional ad hoc duties as may be required.
  • Supporting your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver. 

What you’ll need:

Essential

  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
  • Results driven and able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Ability to adapt to individual and operational change in a diverse and fast-paced organisation.
  • Project management experience
