Workshop Operative

Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Speedy for a Workshop Operative to maintain a clean and tidy working area at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintaining equipment through fuel top ups etc
  • Cleaning equipment to a high standard
  • Cleaning of high pollution risk areas
  • General yard duties
  • Assisting in the completion workshop asset and stock counts on a rolling and annual basis
  • Completing all administration documents and inputs to IT systems in a timely and accurate manner
  • Contributing to regular reviews led by the Workshop Manager/ Foreman to improve the workshop’s service levels, performance and productivity
  • Conducting additional ad hoc duties as may be required
  • Following all Company procedures and policies in Company Handbook
  • Ensuring all relevant training has been attended

  • Sprayer background/experience
  • Able to use initiative

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure

  • Knowledge of Speedy Hire equipment/ products
