The ADNOC Group company, Takreer, has awarded two major contracts for its Gasoline and Aromatics Project (Gap) to increase their gasoline production capabilities.
ADNOC’s refining and petrochemical director Abdulaziz Alhajri stated "our goal is to unlock the full potential of our assets. The Gasoline and Aromatics Project will enable us to meet the needs of the evolving and expanding market for refined products, as well as add value to each barrel processed".
Takreer is aiding ADNOC’s growth strategy with its plans, as it seeks to expand gasoline production to 9.4 million tonnes per annum by 2022, with the new GAP project providing an extra 4.2 million tonnes of gasoline per annum including 1.6 million tonnes of aromatics per annum. This supports their five year business plan, in which ADNOC has focused on targeted investments to build the company’s position as a profitable and valuable refining business.
