How to Off-Hire Power Tools and Equipment - Correctly and Safely

How to off-hire tools: So now that you have completed your DIY tasks, it’s time to return the tools you hired to Speedy.

This is called off-hiring. 

The off-hire process is quick and easy, so rest assured that you won’t have tools and equipment cluttering up your home or garage.

You can request an off-hire in 1 of 3 ways.

1. Firstly, via the MySpeedy section of our website where you can register for MySpeedy by simply completing and submitting a registration form. 

You will then be set up and receive login details via email. It’s usually best to register for MySpeedy the day before you plan to off-hire to ensure your account is set up in time.

2. The second way to off-hire is on the Speedy App -  which can be installed on your device in minutes either from the app stores or simply visiting speedyservices.com/app

3. The last off-hire option is to contact the issuing Speedy Service Centre or Speedy at B&Q Store directly, you will find contact details on your contract paperwork supplied at the time of delivery. If you don’t have the necessary paperwork to hand, just contact our friendly customer services team and they will be happy to help you

You can also choose when and how the tools are returned to us.

We can either arrange for a Speedy driver to collect from your home address or you can bring the tools and equipment back to a Speedy Service Centre or Speedy B&Q Store.

Once we have received the tools and equipment, we will carry out an inspection before issuing a refund of any deposits taken.

It’s as simple as that!
