Doncaster’s booming rail industry has received a boost with the addition of a specialised rail offering in the town.
Speedy, the UK’s leading provider of equipment rental and support services, has expanded facilities at its Brunel Close depot to meet increasing demand in the region for rail equipment.
The 12809 sq ft depot, which had until now solely offered lifting equipment and services, opened its doors on Wednesday (3rd October) to officially welcome customers and give them a tour of the new facilities.
Speedy Central Regional Manager, Graham Blackley, said: “The Speedy Doncaster Rail and Lifting Depot is the culmination of a great deal of planning and investment by Speedy, highlighting the company’s commitment to the town. The firm pledges to continue to invest in new equipment and keep essential lifting and rail equipment in stock.
“We are thrilled to increase our offering and are confident that the depot will meet our customers’ every rail and lifting needs.
“On the back of this growth we have already appointed a new site foreman who is an A1 competency assessor, and further positions will be created at the depot in the foreseeable future.
“We will be using our vast range of tool hire equipment to supply not only Doncaster, but the whole of South Yorkshire.”
New services offered at the depot include technical support from rail experts whenever and wherever it is needed; access to the Speedy team of service engineers who can provide test and inspections for rail equipment and accessories as well as new fleet investment, enhancing availability in the latest in rail equipment.
