There are apparently 131 million ‘little jobs’ to do in the homes of Britain, according to new research.

In a sample of 2,000 homeowners, small jobs such as marked walls, mouldy rooms and blown light bulbs are being left because many people do not know how to deal with them. Other jobs include stains, paint peeling and tap leaks. On average, it is taking the nation six months to deal with such issues.

The figures reveal that 41 per cent said that being busy with work was the main reason why these problems were not being solved, whilst 40 per cent argued that their home may be tired but was still tidy.

Industry experts have advised that homeowners should invest in tool hire and sort these problems out. If in doubt, always seek professional advice, especially with much larger-scale problems.
