What is a Submersible Water Pump?
Suffered flooding from bad weather, a burst pipe, or a faulty washing machine? Then you may need a submersible pump.
A submersible pump can be fully immersed in water in order to extract it in large volumes. You can hire different variations of submersible pump, and models for either dirty water (to clear sewage or flood water) or clean water (for fresh water from pipes).
What is a Submersible Pump used for?
A submersible pump, also known as a submersible water pump, is a pump that can be fully submerged in water. The motor is hermetically sealed and close-coupled to the pump's body.
The submersible pump is used for draining water in many applications, from residential to commercial. If you have a swimming pool or pond in your garden, a water pump is ideal for draining them, reducing water levels, or adding clean water.
Submersible pumps are also used to extract water from work and construction sites, reduce groundwater, pump dirty water, and drain wastewater from flooded areas.
A major advantage of a submersible water pump is that because it is submerged in the fluid, it never has to be primed. These pumps are also energy efficient, as water pressure pushes the water into them; they don’t spend a lot of energy moving water into them.
