Who Should Attend?
This programme is designed for managers, supervisors and operatives who may need to use or control powered access equipment in a work environment.
Aim
To provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the need for safety associated with powered access equipment.

- Operator responsibilities
- Safe operating guide
- Safe use of Mobile Elevating Working Platforms (MEWPS)
- Machine pre-user checks
- Safe working environments
- Machine familiarisation
- Pre-start safety checks & function controls
- Machine operating session
- Practical test
Additional information
Delegates attending this course should be 16+ years and be physically and mentally fit to withstand the rigours of training. The content of this course includes awareness of periodic examinations of equipment.
The IPAF 3a and 3b training course does not provide full training in maintenance of equipment. Additional training relating to this subject may be of benefit to delegates (further information available upon request).
Practical exercises will not be experiencing falls of any kind. The delegate will not be deemed competent in rescue procedures.
