The safety of our customers and of our employees is at the heart of our business. In 2005 Speedy set new standards in on-site safety communications with the launch of the behavioural based safety programme Safety From the Ground Up (SFTGU).
This was developed to assist customers by raising awareness and understanding of key safety topics amongst their site operatives and managers, enabling them to make informed choices about the ways in which they worked.
We have refreshed and rebranded the programme to Speedy Intelligent Safety including:
Dust, Hand Arm Vibration, Manual Handling, Working at Height, Confined Space and ATEX, Noise, and Slips, Trips and Falls. Additional themes will follow later this year.
Each safety topic contains information, facts, products and solutions to help manage the risk, plus training courses designed to improve competence.
