Speedy has been awarded EcoVadis Gold!

Speedy Hire has been awarded EcoVadis’ Gold rating in this year’s assessment, in which we scored highly for our efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

Speedy's Gold rating means we are now in the top 5% of businesses in our sector for sustainability! The EcoVadis assessment universally benchmarks Speedy’s ESG performance across environment, labour, ethics, human rights, corruption, and sustainability.

It's a great achievement which shows how important ESG is to all of us at Speedy, and furthers our commitment to being Net Zero carbon by 2040 – 10 years ahead of the government.

Moving from last year’s silver rating to the gold accolade in this year’s assessment demonstrates the maturity of our Decade to Deliver strategy and reflects how we're moving in the right direction as a business.

What is EcoVadis?

EcoVadis is a platform which allows the evaluation and monitoring of the sustainability performances of companies.

As stated on their website:

“The EcoVadis overall score (0-100) reflects the quality of the company’s sustainability management system at the time of the assessment.”

The EcoVadis Sustainability Recognition Levels are based on the percentile rank of a company’s EcoVadis score and a minimum theme score.

The Gold award is for any businesses in the top 5% (overall score between 70 and 77) within their industry, showing that Speedy is ahead of the game when it comes to being an ESG-friendly leader in our sector.

EcoVadis is one of the world’s most trusted and recognised business sustainability ratings and the only universal rating provider.
