Summary

We are looking to recruit and train an Apprentice Manager based out of our Newport (NP20 2WE) depot.  As an Apprentice Manager you would work with us to learn the knowledge, skills and behaviors related to all operational aspects of the Speedy business, to enable you to progress towards a future depot management position.  You will learn and experience being a general assistant, driver, test and run technician, hire controller and assistant manager.  You will be guided, taught and mentored by our experienced and knowledgeable colleagues and our specialist apprenticeship provider.  

Our structured programme will last four years and will be a mix of our own in-house training and completing the following apprenticeship qualifications:

  • Level 2 Customer Service
  • Level 4 Management
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management

You will also be given the opportunity to enroll on our high potential programme (HiPo) in your third year.  We aim to not only develop your technical skills and abilities but also offer you the opportunity to develop the skills needed to become a well-rounded individual in order to progress your career in line with your own ambitions. 

We are looking for Apprentices who:

  • Have a keen eye for detail
  • Are willing to develop, be customer focused and are able to talk to customers whether it`s on the phone, at the hire desk or whilst out delivering, building strong relationships with them
  • Feel comfortable working with technology and are keen to be a part of Speedy`s digital transformation
  • Show good IT skills
  • Are adaptable
  • Have good organisational skills
  • Can work as part of a team
  • Have good communication skills

In order to be considered for this apprenticeship you must have:

  • GCSE or equivalent Maths and English Grade 4/Grade C/Level 2 or above
  • Some form of A-Level/B-tech or equivalent qualifications (Level 3)
