Summary

Lloyds British in Glasgow are looking to recruit a mobile Lifting Equipment Inspector with knowledge of various lifting equipment such as Chain Hoists, Overhead Cranes and slings etc.

This role will sit in our TRIM division. 

The role is to ensure equipment is compliant with current regulatory and statutory requirements such as LOLER and PUWER.

Main Responsibilities

 Inspector within Lloyds British you should be competent and capable to carry out inspection, adjustment and maintenance of mechanical and electrical aspects of lifting and handling equipment. You will compile reports and present and discuss with the customer your findings and be aware of and able to discuss with the customer all aspects/product groups of Lloyds British .

Our highly qualified and competent inspectors are capable of inspecting and certifying lifting equipment including, but not limited to; overhead travelling cranes, swing jibs, winches, gantry frames, davit arms, lifting jacks and pallet trucks.

Ideal Candidate

Experienced Engineer Inspection will have the below key attributes: 

  • Experience working in the lifting equipment industry
  • Experienced working within a testing environment 
  • Experience of using heavy lifting gear or with a strong mechanical engineering background
  • Have good communication skills and experience of working within a customer site
  • Competent in the inspection of lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER and PUWER.
  •  LEEA Qualification/s desirable 
  • Current UK driving licence
