Summary

Based in the depot, you as a Mechanical Engineer with Speedy will be a key part of the depot operations. A productive workshop means equipment is always available for our customers, which in turn, keeps the customer happy.

Main Responsibilities

Once you’re settled into your role, you will spend most of the time in the field; liaising with customers, servicing and solving mechanical faults as required. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers can rely on us to provide them with safe and reliable hire equipment so they can successfully deliver their projects. You will ensure that our equipment is performing to its full capabilities, that all equipment is tested, repaired and serviced to a high standard.

Essential:

  • Strong mechanical skills and able to use tools effectively
  • Strong communication skills both verbally & written
  • Able to adapt quickly to support others
  • Commitment  to learn and develop

Desirable:

  • Basic electrical skills (12/24v)
  • Previous experience working within the hire industry or other related engineering field
