We are keen to recruit a Mailroom and Reception Assistant, whose responsibilities will lie in supporting the Mailroom and Facilities Manager in the smooth running of the mailroom and supporting reception where required within the three Speedy buildings situated in Haydock. You will ensure that all postal items are dealt with in a cost effective and timely manner and issues are handled promptly, ensuring an excellent level of customer service.
- Opening and sorting inbound post to respective departments,
- Distribution of post to respective departments and individuals
- Collection of outbound post from departments
- Collection and distribution of internal docs to departments and Individuals
- Weighing/franking of outbound post ensuring correct service is allocated
- Opening and sorting of received depot paperwork received from carrier
- Preparing depot documentation (pinks) for scanning
- Assisting in removing confidential paperwork for shredding
- To maintain/clean post room equipment
- To assist other departments where required.to maintain office requirements
- Preparation of high volume correspondence using enveloping machine
- Liaising with Royal Mail to resolve franking queries
