Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for personnel who will need to move loads using various Lifting Equipment under their daily duties.
Aim
To teach maintenance staff to rig lifting equipment safely.
Training Methods
Rigging Equipment should be made available onsite to move loads. Classroom based and practical exercises and group participation.
Knowledge
Additional information
On completion of the three day course, the operator will know:
- Their statutory duties under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
- The importance of weight and centre of gravity in relation to the safe working load of the lifting tackle
- Signalling codes for slingers
- To be conversant with the principles and practices of Rigging and Lifting.
